Welcome to Valborg in Uppsala! - Probably the best, and biggest party in Sweden in the whole year!

1/5 = Första maj
About 100 000 people will move in or around Uppsala during Valborg. As many as 30 000 have travelled to Uppsala only because of having the chance to visit Valborg.

Example of a typical Valborg day
07:00-09:30 Champagne or porridge breakfeast
10:00 Forsränningen or Running the Falls
11:30-14:30 Sillunch or Herring lunch
15:00 sharp. Mösspåtagning i Carolinabacken or Donning of the Caps. Dont forget to bring your student cap!
15:15 Champagnegalopp or Champagne galop at several nations. Please observe that you will get wet!
21:00 Spring adress at the Gunilla Bell Tower at Uppsala Castle and performance by Allmänna Sången choir.
21:15 and onwards Party at the nations
Information regardig guest cards

Students studying at universities or colleges in other countries (or other cities in Sweden) may buy a guest card (temporary membership) to get access to the student nations of Uppsala and their great range of activities. You can purchase this card from the curator committee located at the bottom floor of the student union building on Övre Slottsgatan 7.
In order to obtain the Guest card, you need to bring a valid Student ID card (with expire date) or a certificate from your home university confirming that you are studying the current semester and a valid photo ID, such as passport or drivers license. If you want to pick up a Guest card for a friend, photocopies of these documents are sufficient. However, the photocopies must be clearly readable.

Gästkort kan endast köpas av studenter som inte studerar i Uppsala. Gästkort kan köpas på nationernas egna expeditioner samt på Kuratorkonventets gästkortsexpedition på Övre Slottsgatan 7.
Du måste ha med ID och giltigt bevis på att du är student på universitet eller högskola. Som bevis fungerar t.ex kårleg/Mecenatkort/Studentkort som visar vilket lärosäte du studerar vid. Det går givetvis att skicka in kopior på student-ID och ID till vår e-post gk@kuratorskonventet.se
Studenter vid folkhögskola eller KY/YH-utbildningar är ej berättigade till gästkort.
Som student vid Campus Gotland eller distansstudent vid Uppsala universitet kan du lösa gästkort genom att uppvisa gitligt intyg, som finns längst ned på sidan.
Du kan alltid köpa gästkort till en vän om du kan uppvisa original eller vidimerad kopia på ID och bevis, kopior på detta kan skickas per mail.
