What is Valborg, in English?
On the last day of April one of the biggest events of the year is celebrated in Uppsala – Valborg. It started as a student event during early 1880s, but has now grown to involve the whole city. Approximately 100 000 people will move around in Uppsala during this day, and about 30 000 people will travel to the city from all parts of Sweden - only to have the chance to celebrate Valborg in Uppsala.
Uppsala has one of the best universities in the world, and is known as Sweden’s most exciting student city.
